About

Creativity has always been an integral part of my life, ingrained in my earliest memories. I have constantly sought avenues to express my inner self, whether through abstract or tangible forms. Amid the initial days of lockdown, I found solace in creating self-portraits out of necessity and practicality. However, as time elapsed, I found myself captivated by the intricate details of the human form and its multifaceted nature.

In my artistic pursuits, the lines between my work and my being blur as I embark on profound levels of self-exploration, self-assessment, and the revelation of past traumas. This prompts the audience to grapple with the depth of the imagery, questioning the implications when the subject and artist are one and the same. What unfolds when the artist portrays themselves as the antagonist, protagonist, victim, and perpetrator? With each new creation, the initial impetus behind the art fades in significance compared to the ongoing journey. Witnessing the evolution of my self-portraits is a mesmerizing experience, and the process serves as a potent outlet for emotional exploration and healing. Ultimately, self-portraiture emerges as a powerful tool for introspection, compelling us to confront the truths unveiled through this transformative process.
